Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Secure Storage: Safe Clean handles information when you use the application and related website at utility-help.com.
1. Overview
Secure Storage: Safe Clean is designed as a utility application for device cleanup, duplicate review, password generation, secure storage, two-factor authentication and private browsing features. We aim to keep the app straightforward and privacy-conscious. As a general rule, the developer does not sell, rent, trade or transfer users' personal information to advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use. By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, you should discontinue use of the app.
2. Information processed by the app
Some features may need access to information that already exists on your device. For example, cleanup and duplicate-management features may need permission to review eligible photos, videos, contacts or other supported categories so the app can display potential duplicates or items selected for cleanup. Secure storage, password and 2FA features may also process information that you intentionally enter or add.
Where technically possible, this information is processed locally on your device for the purpose of providing the selected feature. The developer does not use this content for advertising and does not transfer your private content to unrelated third parties.
3. Permissions
The app may request access to certain device capabilities only when needed for a feature you choose to use. Depending on your device and enabled features, these permissions may include access to photos, media, contacts or other system resources.
You control permissions through iOS. You may deny or revoke a permission at any time in Settings. Some features may stop working or become limited if the corresponding permission is not available.
4. Passwords, vault items and authentication codes
The app may allow you to generate passwords, organize saved credentials or private items in a vault, and store information used to generate time-based one-time passwords. You are responsible for deciding what information you place in these features and for protecting access to your device.
We recommend using a device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID where available, maintaining secure backups when appropriate, and avoiding the reuse of passwords across unrelated services.
5. Subscription and purchase information
Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not directly receive your full payment-card details. Apple may process transaction, billing, account and purchase information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
The app may receive limited purchase-status information from Apple that is necessary to determine whether premium access is active, expired, restored or otherwise available on the device.
6. No sale of personal data and no advertising transfer
We do not sell personal data. We do not transfer personal information to advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not use your private app content to build advertising profiles. The service is intended to function as a user utility rather than an advertising-data product.
7. Limited information shared with Apple for refund requests
There is a limited exception related to App Store refund handling. When Apple asks the developer to provide information connected with an end user's refund request, we may provide purchase-consumption information to Apple so Apple can evaluate that request and protect the integrity of in-app purchases.
The information may include app usage time, an anonymous account identifier, the total amount spent and the total amount refunded. This information is provided only in connection with Apple's refund process and is not provided for advertising purposes.
8. Private browsing
The app may include a private browsing feature intended to reduce locally retained browsing traces within that feature. Private browsing does not make a user anonymous to websites, internet service providers, network administrators or other entities that may independently observe internet traffic. Users should not rely on private browsing as a substitute for general security practices.
9. Data retention
Information kept locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it, clear the relevant feature, uninstall the app or the operating system removes it. Because the developer does not operate the app as a cloud-storage service for your private content, retention is primarily controlled by you and your device.
Limited transaction or support records, where applicable, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, customer support and dispute resolution.
10. Support communications
If you contact us at support@utility-help.com, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, question, device details, screenshots or other diagnostic information you voluntarily provide. We use that information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot an issue, maintain support history where appropriate and protect the service against misuse.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information associated with the service. However, no software, device, network or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, keeping your operating system updated and using appropriate device-level security protections.
12. Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is legally required in the user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly design the service to collect children's personal information for advertising or profiling purposes. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request or other direct communication, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
13. International use
Users may access the app from different countries and regions. Apple may process App Store purchase information in accordance with its own global infrastructure and privacy terms. The app itself is designed to minimize developer-side transfer of users' private device content.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features change, legal requirements evolve or clarifications are needed. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after an update means the current policy will apply to subsequent use.
15. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, privacy practices or the handling of information in the app, contact us at support@utility-help.com.
